Never Yielding Creating Knowledge. This isn't just a name; it’s our promise to the Newport News community. SOLO Ministries was founded on the belief that knowledge is the bridge between an autism diagnosis and a child’s success. We exist to ensure that no parent has to "yield" when fighting for their child's educational and developmental rights.

Who We Are

We are a 100% volunteer-led organization. We don't have fancy offices or high-paid executives.

• Community-Powered Advocacy: Your donations directly fund our local advocacy programs, ensuring families have access to expert guidance, educational materials, and one-on-one support in the Newport News area.

• Locally Rooted: We are your neighbors in Newport News, VA, dedicated to supporting our local families.

Why "Never Yielding?"

The journey of autism and special education can be exhausting. "Never Yielding" means we stay in the fight with you. Whether it’s your first IEP meeting or your tenth, we provide the "Knowledge" (the K in NYCK) to help you navigate the system with confidence.

What We Do

To ensure SOLO Ministries can provide consistent, expert-level support year-round, we have moved to a professional service model. Fees and grants allow our lead advocates to dedicate the time necessary for high-stakes school meetings and record reviews, while keeping our community resources free for all.
